Mahogany Octagonal Tripod Tea Table of outstanding quality. This is an excellent example of "pure" English furniture design inspired by Thomas Chippendale. The octagonal radial veneered, segmented tilt-top is laid on solid mahogany and features an outer mahogany crossbanding, bordered with narrow black and white line inlay. A most unusual handmade "sunburst" black and white inlay decorates the centre of the top.

The beautifully proportioned ring turned support column is decorated with hand carved spiral gadrooned detail and the table stands on elegant, finely shaped cabriole legs.
