Illustrated here is such an example, a magnificent conference table standing on three important mahogany "turned column and platform" pedestals, the four down-swept legs of each pedestal faced with satinwood and Cuban type mahogany. The top of the table measures 20ft. (6 metres) long x 5ft. (1.52 metres) deep and is finished with highly figured specially selected mahogany veneers, bordered by a lavish inlay of satinwood and Cuban type mahogany complementing the design of the legs.
