CH760
Mahogany Chippendale Chair
Illustrating the increasing lightness of design and superb proportions, which characterised English mahogany chairs from the middle part of the 18th Century, this superb hand-carved example can be used either for dining or as an occasional chair in the sitting room or bedroom. The fine cabriole front legs rest on carved scroll feet with acanthus leaf and cabochon decoration above.
